Valerie Christina, M.Om., Dipl. Acu, L.Ac.

Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Sound Healing Therapy + Acupuncture, and Tuning Fork “Acupuncture”

Valerie and her passion for wellness, personal growth, and healing have found a home at Green Lotus Yoga and Healing Center.

The foundation of her practice is acupuncture and incorporates dietary therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, tui na, electro-stim, auricular and scalp acupuncture, moxibustion, and essential oil therapies, depending on the patient’s treatment needs and goals.

Valerie sought out herbal medicine and alternative healing practices for years. She experienced many benefits from acupuncture and began formal acupuncture and herbal medicine training, augmented by volunteering and participating in rigorous clinical internships in 2011. In 2015, she graduated with her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. She holds a Diplomate in Acupuncture from the national certification body NCCAOM and licensure from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.

During her clinical studies, she was drawn to discover how the body holds onto various forms of illness and disease states. From acute care to chronic and more stubborn conditions, the body often exhibits clues to the origin or root cause. By tapping into your body’s innate ability to heal, coupled with acupuncture and other healing modalities, Valerie still feels amazement at how the shift can be made from disease to health.
Valerie’s passion lies in connecting with nature, travel, and creating an intentional community to create greater balance and meaning in our lives.

In her personal life, she loves to explore and travel the world, often drawn to ancient places like Machu Pichu, Peru, the pyramids of Mexico and Belize, and the rainforests of Costa Rica. As an involved aunt to three nephews and a niece, she tries new things with them and loves the adventures they make possible. Her two Great Pyrenees keep her on her toes rain, snow, or shine as they are often out on some sort of muddy-paw adventure.
