Thai Yoga Bodywork & Massage

Thai yoga bodywork is a more active approach to bodywork that is performed on a padded floor mat instead of a table. You remain fully clothed and no oils or lotions need to be applied. The therapist will use various parts of his or her body to open energy channels and break up toxins that are stored within your body. Passive stretching and gentle pressure along these energy channels releases the skeletal structure, increases your flexibility, and softens your muscle tissue.

Thai Yoga Bodywork

Your therapist uses various techniques to stretch and lengthen, open energy channels, and break up toxins that are stored within your body. Passive stretching and gentle pressure along these energy channels releases the skeletal structure, increases your flexibility, and softens your muscle tissue. Spine, hips, neck, and limbs are addressed.

Tok Sen Massage

This form of massage therapy makes use of a small mallet and wedge to stimulate the energy points and lines of the body. Tok Sen refers to both the application of the massage as well as the tools/instruments used during the massage. “Tok” comes from the sound that the mallet makes when hitting the wooden wedge, and “sen” relates to the energy lines addressed in traditional Thai medicine. What really makes Tok Sen unique from other massage modalities is the combination of deep vibration produced by the wooden instruments with manual pressure and passive stretches. This blend transforms body, mind, and energy and reinstates well-being. Dress in yoga shorts, tank top or sports bra. Please avoid wearing long pants or long-sleeved tops. Lotion and fractionated coconut oil are used during these sessions.

Thai Yoga Bodywork for Trauma

Thai Yoga Bodywork can aid in trauma recovery by reducing stress and promoting relaxation, which helps calm the nervous system. It can facilitate the release of physical tension and emotional blockages stored in the body, promoting a sense of well-being. Additionally, the safe, therapeutic touch provided during a massage can help restore a sense of trust and connection, crucial for healing from trauma.
