Green Lotus offers individualized instruction in yoga, meditation, breathing, Mat Pilates, Pilates Reformer, and fitness. Sometimes a student would like instruction to fit their unique situation and needs. We have a number of highly-trained teachers who can help you meet your goals in-person and virtually. Whether you would like a yoga routine customized to balance your constitution, or just prefer an individualized approach - we have an option for you. We also have private group class option!
GL Private Instruction Session Types
Alignment or Hatha Yoga
In this session we can focus on a variety of yoga techniques. Work on specific poses, find the best alignment for your specific structure, learn variations and options for poses that work while you're healing from an injury, and more. Both new and experienced yogis will benefit from this session.
Core, Stamina, or Vinyasa Yoga
Focus on increasing your strength and stamina or work on your flow practice. Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yogi, our vinyasa experts can guide you.
Flexibility or Yin Yoga
Yin yoga helps ground, calm, and balance stress as well as increase flexibility. Book this session to improve posture and alignment, increase range of motion, release stress, and provide balance for more active practices and athletics.
Mat Pilates
Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Similar to yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance, and flexibility.
Meditation
Our teachers provide guidance in a variety of meditation techniques including mindfulness, lovingkindness, guided visualization, Yoga Nidra, mantra meditation, and more. Quiet your mind, center yourself, and start reaping the benefits of meditation.
Pilates Reformer*
With traditional Pilates you work out on a mat, using your body weight as resistance in a series of moves and stretches. The Pilates reformer machine adds resistance to the workout through springs and pulleys. The Pilates reformer increases flexibility, strength, balance, range of motion, and core power by strengthening the muscles of the abdomen. For targeted results and a thorough workout, try the reformer. Practice with Christine Daniel in Mendota Heights. One person is accommodated per session. *Special pricing applies, see below.
Pranayama and Breathwork
Breath is your direct link to your nervous system and shapes how you experience yourself and the world. Learn to calm and balance or awaken and energize – and to improve physical health in many other ways by harnessing the power of breath! Our teachers are experts in yoga-breathing techniques.
Relaxation or Restorative Yoga
Do you need the time and space to unwind and relax? Or do you have an injury from which you are recovering? Try restorative yoga!
Tai Qi or Qi Gong
Practicing tai qi or qi gong improves balance, strength, and presence. These energy- cultivation techniques have been practiced for centuries to support well-being.
Yoga Nidra Individualized*
Yoga nidra is a deeply restorative and nourishing guided relaxation practice. If you are struggling with anxiety, insomnia or fatigue, yoga nidra can be a powerful reset for your nervous system. In a Yoga Nidra session, you meet with Katrin and she designs and leads you through a personalized yoga nidra practice based on your particular needs. She makes a recording of the practice so that you may use it at home. Available with Katrin Christensen-Cowan in Mendota Heights. *Special pricing applies, see below.

Each of our teachers has a specialty and you can combine various session types in one package. Most private instruction sessions accommodate up to two people, so bring a friend or family member $10 each for additional students. Pilates Reformer and Yoga Nidra Individualized accommodate 1 person and have special pricing. For help booking with your favorite instructor, email us.

Enjoy yoga with your friends in a private class. Enjoy some self-care time with your loved ones, celebrate a birthday or milestone, or just practice at a time that works for you and your buddies. Schedule any of the classes on our public schedule - in-person at a center or virtually - and enjoy a sublime and centering practice. You choose the class format, the time of day, and the location - choose from in-center or virtual*. Call your home studio to schedule!
