About Reiki

Anyone can learn to perform reiki, and trainings at Green Lotus provide lots of time to practice and ask questions. If you are new to reiki, you will leave the first level of training fully empowered to use reiki on yourself, your loved ones, and even your pets. You will become a conduit for greater health, balance, and vitality for yourself and those around you.

Rei: means universe, Ki: means life force energy

Reiki training is for anyone wanting a healthier, more balanced, and more connected life. It can be used to restore and nourish the body of everyday life stressors. It aids the body's natural ability to heal headaches, exhaustion, colds, sleeplessness, injuries, and other forms of “dis-ease”. Reiki has no side-effects, no risks, and always is available to access.

The Green Lotus Reiki Training School is part of the Usui reiki lineage with a direct line of teachers going back to Mikao Usui.

If you have had reiki training elsewhere, you can repeat your training level, or you may be able to continue where you left off. Just drop us a line to get started.

We invite you to join our reiki community by participating in a Reiki Share. Both reiki practitioners and non-practitioners are invited to attend. If you are considering pursing reiki training, this is a great forum in which to learn more about this healing system. If you’ve already had reiki training, this is a great way to practice your techniques, connect with community, and learn about advancing your training.

Anyone can learn reiki. No experience is required.

Reiki’s soothing, balancing energy will be immediately accessible to you after this training for your own healing, for helping your loved ones, and even for helping your pets. Reiki restores and nourishes the body, balancing everyday stressors and aiding the body's natural ability to heal symptoms related to imbalance like headaches, exhaustion, colds, sleeplessness, injuries, and all forms of “dis-ease.” 

In this training, you learn the history of the powerful healing technique called Reiki; the roots from which it derived; the lineage of which you will become part; the ethics of practicing Reiki, and how to perform Reiki sessions. During training, you learn and practice the Reiki hand positions for self-healing and healing of others. You will receive your first Reiki attunement – gaining access to Reiki energy – and have ample time to practice on others and ask questions. All are welcome, you don’t need prior Reiki experience. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Water, tea, and snacks are provided. If you require anything other than that, feel free to bring it.

Reiki Training Level 2

In this intermediate level, students delve deeper into the practice of Reiki with the introduction of the first three Reiki symbols, learning their meanings and how and when to use these powerful tools. You will learn the fundamentals of distance healing and how to incorporate techniques to integrate pendulums, crystals, tuning forks, and aromatherapy. Students will receive their second Reiki attunement. After the training, students are empowered to apply the symbols and various techniques for in-person and long-distance Reiki sessions. There is ample time to give and receive Reiki sessions and ask questions. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Water, tea, and snacks are provided. If you require anything other than that, feel free to bring it. 

Fee: $175 Reiki Training Level 1 is a prerequisite. If you had your first level attunement elsewhere, contact us.

Reiki Training Level 3: Master

In the Master-level training, students receive their final attunement and earn the title of Reiki Master. This class focuses on the internal transformation required to embody the Reiki principles. You learn the Master healing symbols and how to give attunements, along with advanced energy practices of breathwork, deep sensing, energetic cleansing, and space clearing. Other topics covered: preparing a room for a serene and healing Reiki session and how to integrate the three levels of Reiki into your practice and daily life. Upon completion of this training, you are empowered with the tools and skills to begin your professional Reiki practice if you choose. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Water, tea, and snacks are provided. If you require anything other than that, feel free to bring it. 

Fee: $325 Reiki level 1 and 2 are prerequisites. If you had your first and second level attunements elsewhere, contact us.

Reiki Training Level 4: Teacher Training

This final level of training is for Level 3 Masters who wish to become teachers and advance their professional practice. This is a deeply immersive and transformative program for those who wish to achieve the highest level of Reiki training. Included in the program are 12 hours of instruction, 12 hours of classroom co-teaching experience, 20 hours of Reiki practicum, and the hosting of one Reiki share. Upon completion, students will be empowered to begin their own teaching careers and take their healing practices to the next level. 

Fee: $825   Reiki Level 3 Master training and one year of Reiki practice is a prerequisite. If you had your previous attunements elsewhere, contact us.

Jennifer Stano, Reiki Master

Jennifer began her journey in healing and energy work a decade ago, inspired by a deep passion for holistic health practices that address the integration of mind, body, and spirit. Her explorations into alternative modalities and esoteric teachings led her to begin master’s degree coursework at Energy Medicine University in Hermetic disciplines and Radiesthesia, along with Thought-Field Therapy, Remote Viewing, and more. She began her Reiki Training in 2017 with Rising Sun Reiki in Excelsior, Minnesota, and continued through the levels, completing a year-long apprenticeship for Level IV Master Teacher Training in 2019.  Jennifer has been a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP) since 2020. She is part of the Usui reiki lineage.

Biofield Tuning came into Jennifer’s life when she began using tuning forks in her Reiki practice. The shifts in clients’ energy fields were immediate, and she knew this powerful sound healing modality would play a significant role in her work. Jennifer completed her Biofield Tuning practitioner certification in 2024 and enjoys integrating this modality into her practice. 

As a practitioner, Jennifer is known for creating a safe and calming space for clients to deeply relax and connect with their inner guidance. She has been blessed to witness and experience miracles from this work and is grateful to be living a life of service where she can hold space for individuals on their own healing journeys. Our bodies are designed to heal, if we simply give them the correct tools. 

As a teacher, Jennifer is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love of Reiki with students. Learning Reiki can be empowering and life-altering, and Jennifer is blessed to guide students along this sacred journey. Helping individuals to connect with their inner healing abilities is among her greatest joys. 

Reiki Share Events

Come join our local reiki community by participating in a Reiki Share. Both reiki practitioners and non-practitioners are invited to attend. We meet the first Thursday of every month, alternating between the Lakeville and Mendota Heights Green Lotus locations.

During a Reiki Share, we take turns giving and receiving reiki, typically with a few practitioners working on an individual simultaneously. Everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of reiki, ask questions, share stories, and meet others in the community that are on a healing path.

Practitioners, come hone your skills and practice alongside your colleagues. If you are not a reiki practitioner, you can receive reiki and also practice hands-on healing with the guidance of our Reiki Master Jennifer Stano. If you are considering pursing reiki training, this is a great forum in which to learn more about this healing system.

Reiki Shares offer the opportunity for a powerful and beautiful experience for everyone involved. The container we create allows for authentic connection, support, and acceptance. Join us!

Fee: Sliding scale of $15-$40. For those who have financial constraints, you are welcome to contribute what you are able. Sound Healing, Vibration Medicine, and Acoustic Technology TM describes more than pretty sounds; there is science behind the therapeutic use of sound and vibration that has been used for thousands of years.  Decades ago, Einstein said it's the healing modality of the future, but its healing properties have been around for lifetimes.  

 In this weekend immersion, you’ll learn how vibration and sound benefit the physical and energetic bodies and how to facilitate healing, clearing, and expansion in yourself and others.  You’ll learn the history of sound healing, its uses, the modernization of therapeutic sound healing, and how to perform sound healing sessions. 

We cover the chakras, the vibrational frequency and the tone for each, and tones that relate to combined chakras.  We cover the link between planetary vibration and our physical meridian portals as well as combination-tones for specific energies.  You’ll learn how to choose your bowl/s, the purpose and use of other sound tools, and how to merge sound instruments with voice. Laurie covers singing bowl playing techniques, appropriate tools to use when playing singing bowls, and care of your bowls and other sound tools.  

You will be immersed in sound healing over the weekend as Laurie uses crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, Solfeggio tubes, chimes, bells, a rain drum, other drums, and additional vibration tools. You’ll experience in the felt sense of your own being the power and use of vibration and sound in the fields of energy.    

This is a hands-on and experiential event. If you have a singing bowl or other vibration tools, bring them – they are not required; Laurie has several bowls and tools for student use and experimentation so you can find the tones and vibrations that resonate with you.   Attendance is limited to 12 - save your spot now.

The healing quality of sound has been recognized for a very long time. As early as 16,000 B.C.E. in Europe, and 40,000 B.C.E. in Australia, vibrational tools were used as healing instruments. In past eons and today, people use sound and music to find a sense of calm, to worship, and to celebrate. Sound and vibration have been part of the human experience all over the world since ancient times.

Just as every organ and cell in each of us vibrates at a particular frequency, the sounds we create with singing bowls have their own vibration, one which helps the brain reach a level of deep relaxation. Sound healing befriends the noisy and overactive mind and allows transformation and healing to occur.

During a sound-healing session, many experience an altered state of awareness sometimes described as feeling “floaty”. Often there is a sense of reduced anxiety and muscle tension or a feeling of vast spaciousness. Medical studies have found that sound- healing vibrations encourage brainwaves to settle and enter a state of deep relaxation in the delta and theta states. This allows the mind to become quiet and still and the body to enter homeostasis, the state where healing occurs on all levels.

 
 

Required

Sound healing instruments are not required for attendance. Laurie has bowls and tools to use. If you have a singing bowl or tingshas, you may bring them.
